We have updated and re-released our ZF6 Transmission Crossmember! This is the ideal transmission crossmember for those that are looking to convert their truck to a ZF6 transmission. With this crossmember there is no need for any transmission tunnel or firewall modifications.
This ZF6 Transmission Crossmember is made for 1980-1997 Ford F250's and F350's. It is fully fabricated out of CNC cut 1/4" steel and has a large driveline drop section that works well for lifted trucks that need more driveline clearance or stock trucks. This bolts into the factory transmission crossmember holes that are in every frame and only requires two additional holes to be drilled on the drivers side. One of the benefits of this crossmember is that it bolts to the inside of the frame rail, and not underneath the frame rail like most others, so that it does not interfere with aftermarket radius arm brackets or 4-link brackets. It will also work well for Cummins conversions but you will have to drill new holes because it will be moved back from the stock location.

Note: This crossmember should allow the transmission to clear the floor pan and firewall but will require one of the heat shields on the floor pan to be bent or removed. Crew cabs and single cabs may need minor modifications to one of the gussets on the bottom of the cab to clear the output flange of the transfer case. We designed this to work on trucks that still have original body mounts that have started to sag but we recommend replacing worn out, saggy body mount bushings with S&B Silicone Body Mount bushings. This will line up the body lines again and give you some extra clearance. If you have extra clearance between the top of the transmission and floor pan, we recommend installing one or both of the supplied shims between the transmission mount and crossmember.
